I left my heart in San Francisco ✨
Trip 1/3 to SF this year ❤️ Turning a passion into a job has been one of the most rewarding things about making a living and living my life as a wedding photographer. Shooting couples, weddings and stories in new scenarios, in different seasons, in tiny streets... All has made sense into evolving into a storyteller, an accomplice.
🔮
Guess that ever since I can remember I enjoyed reading and telling stories. I loved to listen and talk to the quiet ones and to the loud ones also. To kids like myself, but also for abuelitos. I was a people person, and found energy in others. Deep down I knew I’d eventually end up working in something related to people, to sharing creativity, to adding value. I knew I enjoyed customer service, was quick with the smile and anticipating needs, solved problems and was good at reading people. But yet, I wanted something creative, something I could make/give. 🎓
After graduating from Business Administration, I left for Madrid for an MBA in Tourism and Leisure Management. I worked in european luxury hotels chains and discovered I found joy in sorting things out, in offering solutions, in seeing customers smile. A few years later, and back in Mexico, I worked as marketing and then commercial director. Still enjoyed customer service, productivity and hard workin’, but creativity was still missing. I‘d become a fulfilled adult, a hustlin’ adult, but somehow wasn’t quite there yet. I’d been working for almost 8 years and getting bored with routine, with button pressing, with challenges missing. 🌟And THEN all happened... I took a risk and shifted my career path.
And all has been speed running since that day. The fear, the challenge, the newness, the needed learning, the investment, the failure and the obstacles. The good, the difficult, the amazing and God through it all.
It’s been one hell of a ride! And I’m still in for it, for the long run. I’m holding tight to this trolley ride, the one with the ups and downs, and the one that has made me feel alive, and free. And while here and as Tony said, the BEST IS YET TO COME! 🌁 So do FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS!
I’ll be sitting here. Just like in that movie where Pierce Brosnan has lookalikes with Magritte bowler hats running around the museum. One of my favorite movie scenes ever from The Thomas Crown affair. 🖤
God I loved that movie. And museums. Guess there’s something mysterious about galleries and about encounters. About lovers. About art vibrating so high it resonates with people just standing in front of it. And then bringing people together. Museums are hot people. Art is hot. And getting lost into colors and passion, and love? Hottest thing ever! ◽️So Happy Easter (is this a non appropriate non easter bunny post for today?!) and do share any new expos you’ve been to or heard about! #willtravel #willtakeabowlerhat
Take a lover who looks at you like maybe you are magic - Frida Kahlo. 🌟
And this is officially the perfect place to quote Frida, between narrow and colorful cobblestone streets, beautiful rooftops and right outside a tiny antique shop. Guess time really does stop for a moment when love and this little town in Mexico’s heartland come together ❤️
Things I do with zero restraints: run (and maybe hop lightly, 🙈 no really, I run!)) towards all plants, trees, agaves, cacti and any form of mother nature and beg you to be part of one organic pic. 💛 Try to oversee the fact that I get THIS excited and a bit more when something triggers the beret wearing artist in me -😂
🌵
So on this day, Pau -the bride - being a designer and florist-, was already ahead of me and walking towards where my eyes were set. Star alignment and a bit of telepathic somethin’, I guess! 😉 In any case, they were heaven made to have a session between life and desert love, washed out agaves and a cacti background.
And as for me? You had me at desert session, Jerry Maguire, not Hello, but desert session indeed 😂❤️! Best one ever yet!
Some San Miguel Allende stuff I love but always forget to post about ❤️. If you’re into food read on...
